As we look forward to restrictions being relaxed and being able to reunite the NCM team, we reminisce on one of our last events together, bingo! Cup of tea, Man Alive, Legs Eleven or Lucky Number Seven! The NCM team gathered together for bingo, a cake sale and raffle to raise money for the Big Issue Foundation. This event was part of a series of fundraising efforts of our colleagues, Julie Young, Anne Ewing, Jemma Scott and Fiona Rhodes who successfully took on the challenge of running 2021’s Virtual Virgin Money London Marathon.
A delicious array of cakes were made by volunteers for our cake sale, our colleague Sukhjit Dhaliwal kindly donated one of her infamous cakes for the raffle and the team played bingo with lots of fun twists and challenges along the way. One of the challenges was making balloon animals and needless to say we all got a bit carried away! Thank you to our colleagues Claire Lloyd and Julie Young who creatively decorated the board room, planned the challenges and hosted the evening with the tiniest bingo ball machine anyone had ever seen.
The team raised a total of £354 at the event and the money was donated to the Big Issue Foundation. We are very proud to support the Big Issue Foundation who help to offer vulnerable people the opportunity to work their way out of poverty. We’re also very proud of our marathon ladies who completed more than the required distance in 8hrs 40 mins and raised a fantastic £2,114.50 in total.
