With the football tournament still fresh in the memory, NCM Fund Services team embarked on yet another sporting competition but this time with an egg-shaped ball instead. The inaugural touch rugby tournament hosted by Vialex & LGT Wealth Management took place on Friday 1st September at Edinburgh Academicals ground. With over twenty teams taking part the competition was strong.
With only a couple of training sessions behind them NCM played 4 matches against some strong opposition including the event organisers Vialex. Throughout the afternoon NCM drew 1 game and unfortunately lost 3. The team however were spurred on by the excellent support from fellow NCM colleagues who could certainty make a case for the best supported team.
The event was in aid of the ‘Wooden spoon charity’ which raises funds to support vulnerable children and young people across the UK and Ireland. Despite the results the NCM team had a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon all in aid of a great cause and enjoyed a couple of well-earned drinks afterwards (responsibly).
