A few Fridays ago, NCM were lucky enough to compete in the Business Fives Edinburgh charity five-a-side tournament which took place at the Powerleague in Sighthill. The team were quietly confident with North Berwick Amateur FC’s very own Finlay Pratt at the helm.
An unfortunate draw meant the boys faced an incredibly tough heat, but they came alive when they reached the Europa Conference League. The team quickly found their feet, scoring goal after goal. A special mention here to Richard ‘Striker Sango’ Sango who’s cool, calm demeanour crafted a stellar performance and Dan Gallagher who was our top goal scorer of the day with 9 goals scored throughout the afternoon.
It was a great afternoon for all, the weather was fantastic, and spirits were high (largely down to the great support the team had on the sidelines). It was great to have a run around in the fresh air on a Friday afternoon all whilst raising money for charity. We look forward to hopefully getting to take part again next year.
