NCM Strategy Trip to Chamonix

In late April, NCM held their annual strategy event, which for the third time in five years returned to Chamonix, the famous French town lying in the shadow of Mont Blanc.

As ever there was a mixture of fun and strategic thinking.  The days involved a split in personnel with the Chairman leading the skiers on a variety of his favourite runs on and off the piste, each run ending up in a suitable hostellerie for the time of day.  The Chief Executive on the other hand, led the more sedate (sensible?) party down to the local spa for some well earned R&R and some French ice-cream.  There was even a walking party this year who, fuelled by jam baguettes, climbed to the viewing point overlooking the stunning Valleé Blanche.

During the evenings there was a variety of breakouts and team meetings to ‘brainstorm’ developments in client service and what NCM should do to improve its service proposition. There then followed a great deal of food, wine and hilarity as everyone’s GCSE French finally kicked in.

Once again an unforgettable trip was had by all and everyone returned to Edinburgh rejuvenated on mountain air and French sunshine.
