NCM are delighted to announce that we will be fundraising for Teenage Cancer Trust through a range of challenges and activities across 2023. Employees of NCM were asked to put forward a charity along with the reasons why they wished to raise money for them, before a companywide vote was cast. Teenage Cancer Trust received the most votes and was chosen as the charity we will be supporting this year.
Already just under £500 has been raised this year after employees embarked on the challenge of completing the water of Leith walk in under 6 hours! The day was a roaring success both for charity and team bonding, which has led us to plan a variety of new events and activities that all at NCM can look forward to.
Some of these include:
- A traditional sports day
- Scavenger hunt
- Fantasy football league, with weekly prizes and forfeits!
- Climbing BEN NEVIS !!
Aside from these, NCM has also entered teams into two local charity sporting events! On the 1st of September we will be participating in the Wooden Spoon touch rugby charity tournament, at the Edinburgh Academicals pitches. Our rugby enthusiasts have already put plans into motion for holding some ‘training’ sessions, to whip the team into shape!
On the 11th of August, we have entered the Business Fives charity event. A very popular 5 aisde football tournament that hosts competitions in cities all over the UK! Teams ask for fundraising support leading up to the event and the winning team receives a large donation from the organisers, into their chosen charity account.
