The annual, NCM Edinburgh Afternoon Tea, was held on Thursday 22nd June 2017 in the picturesque surroundings of The Tower Restaurant, located within the National Museum of Scotland.
This year’s event was well attended across the spectrum of advisers, managers, lawyers and accountants who support the financial and fund services industry in Scotland and beyond. There was lively discussion and debate about current issues facing the industry, ranging from the new PSC reporting requirements and MiFID II, to the anticipated (perhaps dreaded) data protection changes looming in 2018. There was, as well, the opportunity to catch up on holiday news, new appointments, new challenges undertaken and new family members, over an excellent choice of “brews”.
With stunning views to Edinburgh Castle, some delicious savouries, scones (with jam and cream, of course!) and fine cakes an excellent afternoon was had by all.
