NCM colleagues have been busy attending Private Equity events and keeping up-to-date with current matters important to industry professionals. Claire and Kathleen attended one of these events, a round table discussion at the EY offices on Tuesday morning. They received a warm welcome from EY and met a number of familiar faces from across Edinburgh.
The session they attended covered a number of topics, the first of which was about the Salaried Members rules and the increased attention on this by HMRC. The session moved onto Making Tax Digital and the upcoming deadline for reporting and lastly Paula Kennedy from Burness Paul took them through an interesting session on the recent changes in Scottish partnerships and how this could impact the Private Equity industry.
It was a really informative and engaging round table session and great to meet industry peers as well as hear from EY and what they were finding topical in the sector. NCM colleagues also attended Private Equity events in Glasgow and London and look forward to participating in more throughout the coming months.
