NCM are delighted to announce that one of their long term clients, Empower Community Solar 1 LLP, won first prize for the Residential Solar PV Project category at the 2017 Solar Power Portal Awards.
Solar PV presents a viable opportunity to bring the benefits of renewable energy generation to social housing households at a community scale and the hard work of Robert Knowles and his team has secured an average saving of £170 per annum per tenant. Additionally, Empower Community extend their role in the community by pledging a contribution of between £30k and £40k of profits per annum to a Local Community Fund in order to develop new projects, skills and jobs in the local area with an emphasis on alleviating fuel poverty.
