Last week Kathleen McLeay, NCM Fund Services CEO, and Volker Steinkopf, NCM Fund Services Associate Director, attended the Annual BVCA Tax, Legal & Regulatory Conference in London. It was the first time the conference had been held in person since the start of the pandemic.
The event was well attended and gave all attendees a thorough review of new tax, legal and regulatory changes coming over the horizon and updates on the position of existing matters with which the various BVCA committees have been involved applicable to those working in private equity and venture capital.
Topics covered included sustainability regulation, evolutions in EU, UK and US private fund regulation, fund marketing updates, personal and international tax, Qualifying Asset Holding Companies with the last session of the day covering IPEV valuations guidance and the wider valuation trends for the year.
