The Depositary and Trustee Association (“DATA”) recently hosted its Annual Dinner at the luxurious Plaisterers’ Hall in London. Hayley from NCM’s Depositary team was delighted to attend.
The evening kicked off with a busy champagne reception, followed by a welcome speech from former DATA Chairman, Julia Cruickshank, who reflected on her time as Chair. After a delicious 3 course meal, guest speaker Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson spoke of her “weird, relentless life” including training for the Paralympics, entering the world of politics and having a giraffe named after her! It was fascinating to hear her story, noting keenly that we should all strive to do things that challenge us.
After a few more drinks and mingling, the evening sadly came to an end. The event was an invaluable opportunity to meet with our industry colleagues in person and make new connections. NCM would like to thank DATA for the invitation and look forward to attending future events.
