On 25 May 2018, Europe introduced new General Data Protection Regulations that have had a significant impact upon the collection, processing, use, and storage of personal data. The GDPR imposes data protection requirements in relation to businesses, not only within the EU, but also any business outside the EU that processes personal data to individuals within it. The new legislation will affect private equity and venture capital firms. To that end, the British Venture Capital Association has published a guide to GDPR. The guide describes how key parts of the regulation will apply to firms and key obligations and issues to consider in dealing with the GDPR.

Adherence to regulatory change is always of high importance to NCM and we will be adapting as a business to accommodate these new changes. We are also working with clients to make sure they have the necessary procedures in place to ensure compliance.
